Each year, Great Western Railway volunteers hold wartime in the Cotswolds over stations between Cheltenham and Toddington. The day offers its patrons a day pass on the steam train, ferrying customers between the stations, and a unique insight into what life was like during World War 2. The show is filled with enthusiasts and paraphernalia from the era with different scenarios and things to see and do spread over the four stations that make up the show ground.
The air cadets offer their assistance each year to the show, providing stewarding for the event.
