On Sunday, cadets from 181 were taken to RAF Fairford to visit the Royal International Air Tattoo. Cadets were treated to demonstrations from various aircraft associated with many air arms, including a pair of Argentinian harriers and a rarely seen Mig-21r from the Romanian airforce. The techno-zone was host to many exhibits relating to space travel and exploration in homage to the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Also present was a demonstration model of BAE’s new concept aircraft, the Tempest, with team members on hand to talk about all aspects, ideas and innovations that it will bring.
