181 joined Thames Valley wing to participate in the 2018 Airborne March at Oosterbeek in Holland. Joined with the 10Km road march, cadets were able to visit many local museums and points of interest, including the British and Polish forces war cemetery in Oosterbeek.

On Tuesday, 181 squadron visited MoD St Athan to experience flying the RAF training aircraft, the Grob Tutor. Each cadet had a 45 minute flying session where they were taught with practical demonstrations how the controls of the aircraft work to pitch, roll and yaw the aircraft and the impacts on the controls with G-Force. Last night, we went up to our local training area, at Robinswood Hill, where cadets practised taking compass bearings to landmarks around Gloucester.
Each year, cadets help RAFA with fundraising at the Bugatti Owners Club, Pre-War Prescott hill climbing event. In between their duties, cadets were offered the opportunity to join participants on their practice runs up Prescott Hill. Throughout the morning, cadets from 181 and 186 squadron’s managed to raise a combined £45 for RAFA.

Over the weekend, 181 were invited to help out at Cool Aeronautics, an annual event held at the Jet Age Museum. There were plenty of activities and showcases put on by local aviation businesses from across the county which the cadets were able to take part in.

City of Gloucester Squadron were invited to join Newent Squadron on their annual remote control model flying evening, hosted by Newent and District Model Aircraft Club. The cadets all had the opportunity to control several aircraft ranging from chuck gliders, to petrol and electric powered RC aircraft.
