Over the weekend, cadets from 181 squadron were taken to RAF Little Rissington and given the opportunity to fly the cadet glider, the Grob Viking. After a morning of initial training on the facilities simulator, and practising parachuting drills, cadets were able to get airborne in the winch launched glider.

Additionally, a group of cadets attended 181 to undertake their Weapons Handling Tests (WHT) on the new cadet .22 rife. All cadets successfully passed their tests, following the mornings training, and were able to practise target shooting on the squadron’s indoor range in the afternoon.
