Over the weekend, cadets from 181 took part in a Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Bronze Expedition from Bishop’s Cleave, camping overnight at Prescott.
The DofE is separated into 4 key assessment criteria; voluntary, physical, skills, and the expedition. All parts of the DofE scheme are led by the individual with the expedition at Bronze taking place over a 2-day period with one night of camping where the cadets are expected to be self-sufficient. They carry and cook all of their own food for the journey, as well as to carry their own tents and everything else they will require over the duration.
