The final parade night of 2017 was spent bowling at Tenpin Ten in Gloucester. Staff and cadets alike took to the lanes, cadets beating the highest staff score by some 30 points! Well done and thank you to everyone’s participation throughout the year. Lots to look forward to in 2018.
Taken at No 1 Air Experience Flight St Athan cadets as well as practicing emergency drills and spending time in the air taking control of the aircraft. They visited the air traffic control tower and were given a tour around and a detailed briefing.
181 Squadron hosted a fancy dress party and pumpkin carving competition. Joined by Dowty squadron, we were thrilled with the turn-out of cadets and the involvement and enthusiasm from everyone.
On Sunday, cadets from 181 and 2322 sqn’s travelled to Yeovilton’s Fleet Air Arm Museum for the day. Every year the cadets help out at Gloucestershire Airport’s open day, directing traffic. They were kept busy this year, the event being the busiest it has been to-date, a great turn out and all 4 parking areas completely filled. Thanks to Fly2Help for taking a few lucky cadets on a helicopter ride.
