2016 marks the 75th anniversary of the ATC. Started in 1938 as the ADCC (Air Defence Cadet Corps) by J.A. Chamier, the ATC was oficially formed in 1941 in recognition of their help and support towards the RAF throughout the outbreak of WW2.
To celebrate, the ATC held a torch relay around all squadrons throughout England, Wales and Scottland. A big thank you to Eric Lewis as pictured below, an ex cadet of 181, for attending the event and giving us your insight into how the squadron was whilst you were a cadet.
The cadets were also invited to the Clifton Suspension Bridge to fly the squadron banners and to meet and greet the Honorary Ambassador for the ATC Group Captain Carol Vorderman.
