Last night, we went up to our local training area, at Robinswood Hill, where cadets practised taking compass bearings to landmarks around Gloucester.

Each year, cadets help RAFA with fundraising at the Bugatti Owners Club, Pre-War Prescott hill climbing event. In between their duties, cadets were offered the opportunity to join participants on their practice runs up Prescott Hill. Throughout the morning, cadets from 181 and 186 squadron’s managed to raise a combined £45 for RAFA.
Cadets from Gloucester, Cheltenham, Dowty, Tewkesbury and Lydney squadrons participated in a parade through Gloucester city centre on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the RAF100. Over the weekend, 181 were invited to help out at Cool Aeronautics, an annual event held at the Jet Age Museum. There were plenty of activities and showcases put on by local aviation businesses from across the county which the cadets were able to take part in.
Parents were invited to 181 squadron on Wednesday for our annual open evening and awards presentation ceremony.
